Bombay Velvet is Hindi Thriller film directed and produced by Anurag Kashyap where in Ranbir Kapoor is going to play the lead role with Anushka Sharma. They have been paired together in bollywood film industry for the first time. Movie release date on May 15, 2015.

Story/Plot:

Bombay Velvet is Hindi crime drama film. Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka are playing the lovers, Set in Bombay of the 1960s, the film tells the story of a boxer,  Johnny Balraj & an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie & how their hopes & dreams collide with their individual realities. It stars Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor & Karan Johar in lead roles with Raveena Tandon, Kay Kay Menon, Siddharth Basu & Manish Choudhary appearing in supporting roles.

Filming:

The first schedule of Bombay Velvet started in the middle of July 2013 & continued till 2nd week of September in 2013. The first schedule was shot at Sri Lanka's Ranmihitenna Mahinda Rajapaksa National Tele Cinema Park Hambantota.

The second schedule was also in Mahinda Rajapaksa National Tele Cinema Park,  Sri Lanka, where Ranbir Kapoor & Anushka Sharma rejoined the filming in February and completed in March. The third & final schedule was shot at Mumbai where shooting was held for a 10 day period.

Soundtrack:

Music director of the Bombay Velvet film, Amit Trivedi began working on the soundtrack after the release of the film Dev D & has said that the music of Bombay Velvet will reflect the age of 1960s Jazz era of Bollywood.
