Ranbir Kapoor plays a conman who is acting in Arjun's film & Arjun Rampal plays a film director . Jacqueline Fernandez plays a double role of Ayesha / Tia. One is a movie director & the other is an art director.

Story:
The Rockstar Roy (Ranbir Kapoor) is a mysterious international art thief  in his upcoming venture Roy opposite sensuous Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez.  Kabir Grewal (Arjun Rampal), a Casanova film maker &  screenwriter is making multiple films (GUNS Trilogy) based on a thief's life & robberies, he goes to Malaysia, where he meets a London-based film maker Ayesha Aamir (Jacqueline Fernandez). Ayesha & Kabir get friendly & soon fall in love.

''''Roy'''' opened to very good occupancies on first day morning. It was by far the best opening of the year and metros look real solid. Film collected 10.50 cr nett on day one and that too despite not so great word of mouth.

ROY Drops Very Big In second Weekend

Film collected 41.76 cr nett in first week one out of which close to 27 cr nett was weekend. Film trended verybadly after healthy weekend and that is why there is not much expectation in second week . Film was hit by bad reviews & poor word of  this mouth.
